To close the year, a special evening event will be organised with all the participants in the program. It was on the roof of the Institut du Monde Arabe that the fifth Ambassador’s program came to a close on May 16th of this year. No less than one hundred people present as guests of Total in the impressive surroundings of the Institute, of which the group is patron. Along with the team at Total Campus, there were Student and Total Ambassadors, school and university administrators, representatives from Human Resources and winners of the different 2014 Team Total events.
The evening started with a guided visit of an exhibition dedicated to Hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca, a very special moment, appreciated by all.
“Extremely interesting and out of the ordinary!”, commented Guillaume Quelin, 2nd year student at Mines d’Albi and winner of the 2014 Go For It grant. “I’m from Lebanon, from a Christian background, I thought I knew all about the Hajj but it turns out that I learned a lot more”, said Hady Daher, Student Ambassador for ENSIC, Nancy.
Next on the agenda, a toast to friendship. Monique Simon, Head of University Relations, and Muriel Warren, in charge of Partnerships and Projects in France, welcomed all participants and presented the results for the past year. Monique Simon then thanked everyone involved with the program, backed up with a video presentation by Jean-François Minster, Scientific Director, and Laurence Storelli, in charge of Recruitment, Careers and Diversity. We then paid tribute to three Ambassador teams, each of whom went away with a prize.
Monique Simon went on to announce the winning teams for Team Total and invited the guests to discover the 14 winning photographs of the Instagram competition. Before allowing everybody to enjoy the cocktail reception served on the terrace, Monique went on to talk about next years’ events and planned exchanges between Total and the students.
